Juliet Kothe

Daily Dérives is a program of conversations led by emblematic personalities of the art world. True to the Situationist meaning of the dérive, PI is encouraging the expression of personal points of view and hopes for an intimate experience for individuals who “let themselves be drawn by the attractions of the terrain and the encounters they found there” (Guy Debord).

Biography :

Juliet Kothe lives in Berlin and works as curator, author and artistic director. She was director of the Boros Fondation for five years until 2022 and artistic co director of STUDIO BERLIN, an exhibition at Berghain in 2020-2021. She is co-founder of Collection Night Berlin and the women’s network Femme Terrible. One of her current research topics deals with the construction of artists imagery of themselves and others and of female artists’ identities. In winter 2023 she co-publishes a book titled Boobs in the arts - fe:male bodies in pictorial history that seeks to combine art-historical connections with feminist and contemporary depictions of the breast.
