At Paris Internationale we are presenting a new installation by the artist featuring Zuul, two sculptures inspired by the iconic characters from the 1984 film Ghostbusters, set against a backdrop of the film’s demonic underworld. A new video, An Evening with Gozer The Destroyer, featuring the above elements and captured during Chetwynd’s performance at the Instituto Svizzero in Milan is shown here for the first time. True to her characteristic style, Chetwynd transforms the space into an immersive place where fiction and reality seamlessly intertwine.

The installation is paired with new Bat Opera paintings from her ongoing series since 2003. In these paintings, Chetwynd sets bats and other nocturnal creatures in powerful, theatrical compositions that recall the style of Old Master paintings.
