Fears Of A Museum Director, 2014
1/11

Pencil, paper, framed, 65x50 cm

In these drawings (2014), the artist visualized 30 nightmare scenarios that would cause sleepless nights for any museum director. Some are more rational than others: a UFO could land on the roof at any moment, but this is less likely than the possibility of the institution relocating or restructuring. The more tangible options are therefore more frightening by comparison. Lack of knowledge about the future is the main source of unease, giving rise to speculation and imagination of all kinds of events. To what extent should these fears be allowed to take hold?
