Francesca Minini

In her work, Ambra Castagnetti investigates and dissolves the feelings of unease that emerge from the experience of everyday life. Through sculpture, painting, installation, and video, the artist develops a research practice centered on natural, feminine, and animal forms, redefining her relationship with reality. The body and the mind — and the relationship that binds them — become pivotal cores of her practice, understood as spaces of transformation and emotional and symbolic passage.

Castagnetti employs a plurality of materials and media, from ceramics to metals, from marble to wax, and moving images, constructing a layered language that explores the complex tension between the poetic and the political, between reality and fiction. The result is a fluid and ever-changing imaginary in which the intimate dimension intertwines with the collective one, opening up new possibilities for reading and interpretation.

Ambra Castagnetti was born in Genoa (1993) and lives and works in Milan. After graduating in Anthropology, she obtained a diploma in Visual Arts from NABA in Milan. She is a visual artist working with sculpture, video, and performance.
