On the occasion of Paris Internationale Three Star Books has chosen a joint presentation of works by french artists Elvire Bonduelle and Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster. While producing very different outcomes, both of the artists are deeply interested in the way architecture and design shape our existence, and fit perfectly within the intimate room hosting us at Paris Internationale.

ELVIRE BONDUELLE

Elvire Bonduelle exhibition SO FAR SO GOOD.
Exhibition view at Three Star Books, Paris, summer 2021.
Bonduelle’s artistic mission is to blur the lines between high art and trivial design. From a bench to dinner plates, vases, paintings, drawings or installations, the artist’s virtuoso creative flux, imposes a lifestyle that is a common aspect for some artists when there is no separation between life and art.

Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster’s “RGB”, a cataloguing of non-sites and all places “in-between” is now available in a special series of framed prints. Whereas each book reflects upon the predominant color for a series of photos, each photograph in the print series is, in turn, a unique image housed within custom-built display case frames designed by the artist. Inquire with us about the available images.
French artist Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster is a chief exponent of the increasingly global and hybrid forms a very international artworld takes. Although she began her career in film, Foerster is now celebrated for multidisciplinary work. She has written novels, worked with rock singers, created set designs, and even collaborated with fashion house Balenciaga. Her work has addressed urbanism, architecture, philosophy, fashion, design, and literature as themes.
