Founded by Alessandro Bava in 2019 and co-owned with Fabrizio Ballabio, Zazà is a contemporary art gallery in Milan and Naples focused on experimental practices.
As part of a new generation of Italian art galleries, Zazà is dedicated to experimental, interdisciplinary practices across contemporary painting, sculpture, installation, performance, and video.
The gallery supports emerging and mid-career artists through a critically engaged program that values research, dialogue, and site-specificity. Zazà has presented exhibitions by artists such as Shaan Bevan, Sylvano Bussotti, François Durel, Gina Fischli, Giorgia Garzilli, Emanuele Marcuccio, SAGG Napoli, and Effe Minelli.
Rooted in both northern and southern Italy, Zazà fosters exchange between local and international art communities while remaining deeply attuned to its architectural and cultural contexts. The gallery’s dual presence in Milan and Naples allows it to operate as a vibrant platform for contemporary art in Italy, contributing to the evolving European art landscape with a strong, independent voice.
