To mark its 10th anniversary, Paris Internationale inaugurated PI10, a special projects section conceived as a living archive of the fair’s history. Designed as a curatorial thread running through the venue, PI10 brought together artists and galleries who have shaped the identity of Paris Internationale over the years. Each intervention reactivated a shared energy and traced a decade of experimentation, dialogue, and community. Far from a retrospective gesture, PI10 celebrated continuity — the ongoing conversation between generations of artists and the ever-evolving spirit of the fair.
Participating artists: Mathis Altmann, Kenny Dunkan, Barbara Hammer, Renaud Jerez, Stanislava Kovalcikova, Cédric Rivrain, Nora Turato.
To celebrate ten years of Paris Internationale, Paris Internationale released a special publication tracing the fair’s evolution, its community, and the ideas that have shaped it. Blending archival materials with new typographic and editorial contributions, it offers a vivid portrait of a decade of experimentation.
It was developed and produced by Marie Lusa, with contributions from the ECAL Master Type Design students 2025 and material drawn from Paris Internationale’s archives.
This publication has been made during a workshop session at ECAL Master Type Design in October 2025, tutored by Marie Lusa with the assistance of Alberto Malossi. Participants: Chae Ahn, Saliù Baldé, Claudio Bolzonello, Elena Calò, Meryem Fekhari, Julian Jaffé, Phil Kim, Dohee Lee, Jiyeon Park, Saba Shahin, Diego Steiner, Sean Tien, and Friederike Wagner.
The letterings in different scripts have been designed by Mim Tejapaibul (Thai), Saba Yousef (Arabic), Sean Tien (Japanese), Jiyeon Park (Korean and Chinese), and Matthieu Cortat Roller (Aramaic, Armenian, Mongolian Bitchig, Greek). All the display typefaces used in this publication have been designed by the students. The font used for smaller texts is Parabole, designed by Dávid Molnár and updated by Chandra Sperle.
A special thanks to the contributors of the quotes strewn throughout this publication. Published in an edition of 5000ex. by Studio Marie Lusa & Paris Internationale.
The “TALKS WITH AND ABOUT” series has been organized since 2024 in collaboration with the Fondation d’entreprise Pernod Ricard, which shares Paris Internationale’s goal of fostering dialogue and discussion among art professionals in France and internationally.
Curated by Alice Dusapin, this year’s program explores themes of publishing, exhibiting, and collecting within “non-institutional” contexts — an opportunity to reflect on the complexity, richness, and importance of independence as a means of action.
Alice Dusapin: “This second edition provides an opportunity to deepen the reflections initiated last year with the program ‘TALKS WITH AND ABOUT: artistic practice, publishing and curating in non-institutional environments and spaces’. This year, a new category has been added with the introduction of ‘the collection’. The idea behind this program, therefore, is to share—through a series of conversations—the complexity and experience of individuals who have founded, run, or invested in non-institutional spaces. What does it mean to try to do things differently? What does institutional mean? What are the limits and joys of these various methodologies, and how can they speak to one another?
MOREPublishers (Belgium), the Rivers Institute for Contemporary Art & Thought (New Orleans, US), Radio Athènes (Greece), and the Stillpass Collection in Cincinnati (Ohio, US) will help put these questions into perspective.”
Alice Dusapin is an editor and exhibition curator. She is the co-founder of the art magazine octopus notes, the publishing house Daisy, and the non-profit space Ampersand. Her research has been supported by the CNAP, the Fondation Michalski, and the Getty Research Institute, and she was a resident fellow at the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici (2020–2021) in art history. In 2022, she published her first book, Wolfgang Stoerchle: Success in Failure, for which she received the Terra Foundation for American Art Prize. In 2025, she co-curated with Martin Laborde (Ampersand) Ana Jotta’s solo exhibition “beaucoup, peu, rien” at Marian Goodman Gallery in Paris. She is currently contributing to several forthcoming publications scheduled for 2026: Ana Jotta, Peau d’Ana and Bern Porter, 232 Books and Boxes. Since 2024, she has served as Head of Publications at Villa Arson in Nice.
WITH AND ABOUT : artistic practice, publishing and curating in non-institutional environments and spaces’.
