Galería Agustina Ferreyra is a contemporary art gallery originally established in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 2013.
The program focuses on an intergenerational group of emerging and mid-career voices from Latin America, the Caribbean and beyond.

Since its founding, the gallery has established a solid presence with exhibition spaces in San Juan and CDMX; and through strong collaborative projects and initiatives such as CONDO, Ruberta, Siembra @ Kurimanzutto, and their most recent venture with commonwealth & council from LA that help the gallery expand the reach of their program, while embracing its rich multicultural nature.

Through a wide variety of media, the work of Leonel Salguero (Ciudad Obregón, MX 1989) is concerned with the tension and erosion between the ordinary and the unexpected, as well as the life of everyday objects.

The simplicity of his execution and composition, along with his humorous and minimal approach to painting, drawing, and sculpture, often results in a depiction of improbable and uncanny landscapes, characters and objects, often attributing anthropomorphic characteristics to household items, tools, vegetables, animals and toys.

Leonel Salguero lives and works in Mexico City. In 2013 he obtained a BFA from the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado La Esmeralda.
